This is the perfect item for anyone who uses technogly on the road. This will chage any item and you don't even have to start the car. As long as th radio is on this will chage anything you have from computer to cellphones you will never have to worry about having the right car chager again. This is perfect and works for any car. We bought this so that we would have power during our recent camping trip in Florida. This device was small enough to pack with my carry-ons on our flight and it worked perfectly with the power connectors in our rental vehicle. I purchased this since I had a paper to write during a long car-ride (6 hours!) It worked fine the entire ride with my laptop and I was able to finish what I needed. It does "whir," but that didn't really bother me.
The only con is that it took me a couple tries to figure out how to insert the bulky device into the cigarette lighter. Read the directions on how to make the part that plugs into the cig lighter thinner/thicker so it fits correctly.
